    Default Which TFI Distributor for 351W Edelbrock Victor Jr.?

    Hello. I'm looking at the Terminator 550-441 to install on a Ford 351W with a Victor Jr. intake. I've read the instructions and understand I need to use a TFI distributor if I want the computer to control the ignition. The Victor Jr. requires a taller distributor and Edelbrock made a special unit to accommodate it (MSD 85805). So my question is, what TFI distributor (or dual sync) do I need to make this work? Thanks.

    Have you looked at Holley/MSD: https://www.holley.com/products/igni...ync/parts/2378 instead? It's about 1" overall shorter to the terminals, but doesn't list dimension from deck to body (which may be the issue). I'm not sure on your issues, but using Holley's Dual Sync Distributor would be a better choice, especially if you're buying a new unit.

    I don't know about the TFI module on the Dual Sync, but when I used a MSD Pro-Billet, I had TONS of trouble with the TFI module. I put the old Motorcraft module on and so many problems disappeared. Starting was easier and idle improved and just overall driveability. Sometimes OEM is better, LOL.

    Yes, always replace the ignition module with a genuine Ford Motorcraft TFI ignition module.
