Thread: Ignition Timing P&D Setting

    Default Ignition Timing P&D Setting

    I've searched the threads and read all I can on the Timing P&D settings, but I'm not getting it totally. First am I "watching" the timing in the idle tuning area in the lower left screen or on the timing table where I have the desired degrees set? Once I highlight my cells for idle and adjust up & down to find the best idle how do I determine how I need to adjust the P&D values? I understand the base idle setting for idle, and that adjusting the P&D helps keep the timing swing down to 3-5° or less, but I'm missing how exactly to optimize it. Thanks for the help.
