Default Which version software/firmware should I use?

I'm replacing my dying joystick handheld unit with a new 3.5" TSLCD. My Terminator/HP ECU is currently running V2. I know I need to update the ECU and just wondering if I should upgrade them both to V4 or V5? Or just upgrade the ECU to V3 to match the handheld. And what pitfalls should I watch for?

V3 or V4 EFI software/ECU firmware is fine.
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.
