Default V5 EFI software update to old ECU?

I have an old HP ECU with V2 version software. The Holley website says that everyone should upgrade to V5. It is safe to upgrade my ECU? Or I will end with a bricked one? Regards.

EFI software is for the laptop or PC. EFI firmware is for an ECU or touchscreen unit. You'll be fine updating from V2 to V5. (Related Forum Post)

Thanks Danny. I already have the touchscreen on V5 and it's working great!

I have a HP EFI that I updated to V5, but it won't recognize the Global Files from the previous version I had used. The Global Files are saved when I copy them to the directory that V5 defaults to when I use the Import Global File function, they're not there. When I go into the folder on my computer, the file is there.

The V5 program will only recognize V5 Global Files. If you copied a lower version file and put it into the the V5 Global Files directory, it will not see them until the are updated to a V5 file or you have to rebuild the Global File in V5 format.
