Thread: Dominator firmware update error.

    Did you try updating the ECU with the touchscreen device(s) disconnected? Did you also try a trickle charger on the battery (or regular charger set on low) and plug in the laptop charger cord? If so, contact Holley Tech Service (LINK).

    Unfortunately, I have tried all of those combos and more. It seems like it momentarily loses connection during the update and times out. It should ask to reconnect instead of just aborting it all together.

    For whatever reason it would lose communication in that first part of the firmware update. I sat there and played with the mouse and got it down to the minute and then finally got it to take. But during the second part that is the flashing and shortly into the flash it lost connection and allowed me to reconnect to finish it. It syncs with no issues now and stays connected. There should be a pop up that allows you to reconnect if there's an issue, instead of just throwing the error 29.
