Thread: Problem Connecting - I/O Mapping?

Default Problem Connecting - I/O Mapping?

Hope you guys can help. I've been having a problem when I try to connect to my car, I get an error that says, "There was a problem mapping the following I/O:. You will need to re-assign this I/O." But it doesn't list anything to re-assign. When I click OK, it just keeps popping up and will not let me continue. When I go back and try to load the file, it says it's corrupt. The only way for me to connect is to take a really old file, then transfer the new data over, then connect. I've reflashed the firmware and deleted & reinstalled the software. Any ideas? Thanks, Tim

Danny, yes, I found it late last night, I had the Fan #2 setup to be on, which it's not used. This caused the problem. Thanks again for the quick reply. I still have a couple questions.

On the HP EFI, can Dwell Time be adjusted? It shows an option for a tab in the EFI software, but is gray and cannot be opened.

I'm having a misfire problem I'm trying to figure out. The car will pull clean to 7000 RPM on the first pull, but after that it just breaks up at almost the same 5400 RPM. I cannot find anything in the EFI software or datalogs that show something is off (AFR good, no corrections, etc., so I'm probably going to have to start replacing parts. I just did the plugs and verified the wires are good. Next would be to change the coil pack I guess. Any suggestions Danny?

    You're welcome.

The "Enable Dwell Table" must be check marked in the Custom Ignition Parameters (Output Setup).
