Thread: Crank trigger signal problems!

They modified the wheel to work with the belt drive & blower pulley. A lot of work now to tear it down and change it. It hits the rev limiter fast and nice sounding, but I'll probably remount the MSD Flying Magnet wheel later anyway.

It's a lot of work now, because it should've been installed properly in the first place.
The Hall-Effect crank & cam sensors are wired as shown in the Holley EFI Wiring Manual:

Choose one of these two options: Either move the crank sensor, or rotate the trigger wheel mounting position, while the damper is at 50°-60° BTDC on #1 cylinder, compression stroke.

Is it possible that having the ECU set to Magnetic instead of Digital Falling could be why my Hall-Effect crank trigger sometime works and other times does not? Is the MSD crank wheel clockable?

What? The Holley 554-118 Hall-Effect crank sensor is supposed to be set to "Digital Falling", not "Magnetic"! There's additional +12V wiring too LINK. Read my post #8 & #12 above.

No (due to Ignition Reference Angle position). You'd have to drill additional holes, so mounting bolt pattern looks like this: LINK (plenty of mounting holes/position options).
