    Default 4L60E On Dyno

    About to put the car on the dyno. I'm wondering what I need to do to hold the transmission in 3rd gear. With the factory PCM, I could lock it in 3rd.

    Select 3rd on the shifter. Manual valve inside the valve body will only allow 3rd as maximum.

    I was just reading in help. Looks like I need to Enable Auto/Manual Shift Mode. Is that the case to keep it from downshifting when going to WOT on the dyno?

    Yes, that would give you permanent 3rd gear. I thought you meant to stop upshift to 4th gear. Gary

    That's the case as well. I don't want it upshifting or downshifting on the dyno.

    Pulling the transmission fuse will give default 3rd and max line pressure, as limp mode. Harder to drive at low speed, but you aren't on the road to worry about that. Gary

    Manual shift doesn't hold it in 3rd gear, unless the speed is high enough.

    I’m in the same boat. OP, did you figure this out? Is there a way to use a manual shift through gears on the 4L60E?
