Thread: I need help.

    Default I need help.

OK, I've tried to attach my datalog and cannot attach it. I've tried using Dropbox and zip field links, nothing worked. I have the 550-606 kit for a '93 Mustang 5 speed. The car starts perfect the TPS 0%, IAC 0-5%. When I drive and come to a stop, the engine idles high and will not idle down, I unplugged the TPS and the car runs perfect, so I replaced the TPS and set the TPS voltage at 0.97 and still have the problem. I replaced the IAC and still have the problem, I've checked for air leaks and no air leaks. I noticed when I shift gears and press on the gas the TPS goes from 0-8% and then goes back to 0%. Can someone help without the datalog, thanks.

Holley EFI doesn't use a specific TPS voltage to set the idle TPS. Just install the TPS in the same position and perform a TPS Autoset. Ensure the TPS Position always returns to 0% at idle.

OK thanks. I thought setting the TPS voltage would help since it's a Mustang, but I'm not using the Mustang ECU. I'll give it a try, thanks.

OK, reinstalled the TPS and no change. I'm just going to keep the TPS unplugged, but thanks for the help.

You can't leave the TPS disconnected. With no TPS signal, the ECU remains in constant IAC Ramp Down mode, which is Open Loop (until it return into idle mode), Idle Spark P & D control will retard timing, and no Acceleration Enrichment.

IAC Hold was too high. His engine is mild and doesn't need much IAC air. 30% was too much. I adjusted the rest of the basic IAC parameters. I wasn't remote connected, I just changed the tune.
