Default Injectors auto-priming with battery disconnected?

I had the battery disconnected, all but the two Sniper wires, because I'm still working on the fuel system. I went back out into the garage later and discovered that every five seconds, there was a click coming from the throttle body, as if I'd just turned the key on and the injectors are trying to prime. So my question is, why can't we disconnect the battery without causing this? Seems a bit of a glitch to me, since the throttle body is still grounded.

If the Sniper TBI still has power, then the battery is not completely disconnected.

It's actually the IAC cycling. I had the same issue and it's a grounding issue. Do you have a dedicated ground from the battery to the engine block?

Cable from negative battery post to engine block, engine block to frame and #8 AWG wire from body to battery? (LINK)
