Thread: Hypothetical Question

    Default Hypothetical Question

The Y-axis on my Base Fuel & Timing Tables and Target A/F Ratio table goes up to a maximum of 16 PSIG. What happens if boost exceeds 16 PSIG? Does it interpolate? If so, how does it calculate the interpolation? Thank you.

No, it simply uses the last known value. However, Closed Loop Compensation continues to correct the AFR if programmed as such at WOT.

This is why it's important to have good fail safes and always have extra resolution past normal operation. Just because you only want to make 16 psi doesn't mean your table should stop there.
