Default Version 5 Build 110 Glitches

Is anyone else having USB disconnect problems with this version? Mine disconnects at random times. I've never had this problem with any other version. If I had to guess, I'd say the issue is in the EFI software on the laptop. I'll be Online and the Online icon will just go out, if I pull the USB cord it should go to Offline, but it doesn't. Then I can plug the USB back in and it shows Online, but it really isn't Online. I didn't have any issues with V5 Builds 32, I think I'll go back.

I had this issue with 32 build. I went to 100 and it was gone. I just updated to 110 and didn't notice it having issues. Maybe try reinstalling the EFI software and let it install new USB drivers again.

I'll try reinstalling the software and try it tomorrow.

When I update the EFI software, I don't install a "new instance" of the USB driver. I select "modify existing driver". Check the Control Panel to see what you have. There should only be two programs from Silicon Laboratories CP210x (and two Windows Driver Package programs from HolleyPerformanceSystems).

I have connection issues with V5 Build 100. When I update to 110, should I install a "new instance" sense I've had trouble? Or possibly uninstall the Silicon Laboratories before I update?

The "modify existing driver" option will correct a corrupt installation.

UPDATE: Danny, I had seven instances of CP210x. I removed them all and started over. I did a short ten minute test and everything seems to be OK. Good call, thanks!

I'm having the same problem. Very frustrating, one time I had to restart the laptop.

I had some of the same yesterday at the track, V5 Build 110. Most of the time, just turning the ignition on & off, and then plugging the USB back in restored connectivity.
