Thread: Terminator X

    Default Terminator X

    I have the new Terminator X and unfortunately it had a fault with the 5V reference not supplying any voltage. Holley tech has been great service and asked for it to be sent back. The problem is I'm in New Zealand, and I need this car going in a month. What's people opinion if I get a 5V regulator and create my own 5V reference to splice in just to get it going, then send it back at the end of next month when I won't need the car going. I just wonder with this fault, if there could be others I don't know of yet.

    I'd want the clean ECU supplied 5V sensor reference. And like you said, you might find something else wrong too.

    OK, looks like I'll send it back on the fastest post possible and see if a miracle can happen. I'll try one last time tonight by unplugging all the 5V sensors in case one is shorting it out.

    Unplug the connector at the ECU and all the sensors, and check connector A26 (5V supply) to ground. Maybe the problem is in the harness.

    Yeah, I'll do that today. I had previously tested A26 at the wire an inch from the pin and still no volts, but still had a couple 5V sensors plugged in. Fingers crossed one of them is the culprit.

    UPDATE: Well, the fuel pressure sensor was the culprit! It was killing the entire 5V reference supply. So happy to find this before sending it back. Thanks for your help guys!
