Thread: V4/V5 instruction drop down tree in print?

Default V4/V5 instruction drop down tree in print?

I've been reading this forum for quite a long time and appreciate all of the high-quality help here. So thanks to all. My question is about the drop-down instructional and information menu on the V4 & V5 platform and whether or not it is available in a complete printed book anywhere. Hitting print with all of that seems like a bad plan for my little printer. Thanks again.

I don't think it's available in print because the software information & features change.

I've referred to your posts many times while trying to learn this language. Thanks for all that you do. I figured that it probably would not be out there in print, but I was hoping to have a nice hard copy to refer to while navigating the computer. I'm trying to prep for a Holley beginner class in May. I guess two laptops would serve the purpose as well with one open to the pages while going through the motions on the other. Thanks again.

    EFI Software Help Information/Instructions:
‒ On the top Toolbar, click "Help" & "Contents". This opens all Help topics.
‒ When navigating the software, click "Help ?", drag it to any parameter and click again.
..This automatically opens the definitions for that specific parameter.
‒ Tuning information can be read by clicking the F1 key, when you're viewing any screen.

Open the Holley EFI software "Help" Contents ("Help" drop down menu), and read "Step-By-Step Beginners Tuning".
Ensure the EFI software is set to run as an "Administrator" (right click for Properties/Advanced). Set it and forget it.

That's pretty much everything I was hoping to find in print. I've been over it all several times. Holley has done an amazing job of providing clear instruction in an easy to use format. I'm just getting old and still like to have a book on everything I guess! Thanks.

I like the instruction book format too (Table Of Contents, Chapters & Index). However, being able to "search" an electronic document (PDF) does have an advantage.

There are (free) printer drivers available that allow you to print PDF files. I use one called Bullzip. Just install it like a normal printer, open the Holley EFI software, select the section you want to print, and print it to a PDF file.

Yeah, I often print specific pages from PDF documents. If you have the Holley EFI software installed on your computer, you can open all the "Help" Contents without opening the EFI software. Go to "Documents", "Holley" folder, "HEFI V4" folder & "Holley" Compiled HTML Help File (with a yellow question mark).

Good to know about Bullzip. I've pretty much been doing what Danny said. Thanks again!

If you're going to the Tier 1 EFI class printed material will be provided. I just went through Tiers 1-3 and have a stack of printed material. Andrew
