Thread: Diagram/instructions for wiring toggle switch for datalogging.

Default Diagram/instructions for wiring toggle switch for datalogging.

Haven't been on here for awhile, forgot my other account info. Anyway, is there anyone with info on wiring in a toggle switch for datalogging? Was planning on tackling it sooner than later.

Quick question. If I run a toggle switch to trigger a datalog, can that same switch trigger a System Log, or is a System Log only available by manually selecting it in the Datalog drop down/datalogging setup? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Yes, it can. Select System Log as the Log Type in the ECU Logging Setup screen (Datalog tab, top Toolbar).

OK, one more stupid question. I think I already figured it out, but just to confirm; I'd run just a single wire from say J3/J4 plug (Input, Ground, Pin B#) to a toggle switch that has just a single wire connected to chassis ground, correct? Which would allow me to trigger the datalog?

Yes, and ensure the ECU Log Trig "Input Type" (Ground or +12V) is selected in the Inputs/Outputs screen of the System ICF.
