Thread: Rev Limiter Options

    Default Rev Limiter Options

First, appreciate your ongoing help as I get up to speed on EFI tuning. I understand how each of the rev limiters work, but what's your best recommendation for Main Over-Rev? From what I've read, it sounds like "Soft" is recommended with 300 RPM delta between high and low. Is this correct?

For Rev Limiter #1 which I use for my 2-Step, is "Spark, High Only" the recommended selection? Thank you.

I use "Spark Only" with a 20 RPM spread.

Yes, "Spark, High Only" is specifically for a 2-Step Rev Limiter.

Wouldn't using "Spark, High Only" as a 2-Step be abrupt, a harsh on & off?

"Spark, High Only" works best for a 2-Step rev limiter.

Holley EFI V4 Software Overview Document:
    1.3 Ignition Parameters
Rev Limiter Updates – A new rev limiter type has been added called “Spark, High Only”. This type has a single high side value. It is recommended to use this for a 2-Step rev limiter and as a high side rev limiter. Other rev limiter types have had updates to them and can be adjusted to the users desired needs.
