    Default 1st Startup - Is this a good option/plan?

Terminator/Dominator ECU. Well I'm finally getting close enough to think about the first startup. I bought a Terminator kit with transmission control to get the Dominator ECU & 3.5" touchscreen. What I was planning to do is run the base setup through the 3.5" "Terminator" touchscreen to get it running. Then after some Learning and I've got some things sorted out, download the tune into the laptop and start working from there. Seem logical? It's a single turbo race only build, so ECU will have boost control, transbrake control, fans, water pump, etc. But I'm not comfortable enough yet to build the tune from scratch.

    Yep, that's fine.

OK well I came across my first problem and I saw it coming. When I went through the Terminator setup it asked for injector group which listed LS engines. So I figured that might be a big problem, but did crank it anyway and it would fire, but obviously the Holley 120s I'm running were pouring the fuel in? So I thought, OK I'll download the Global Config File from the ECU to my laptop and go in there to choose the proper injectors. But it then gave me a firmware update message. Does that mean update firmware on the ECU/3.5" touchscreen or my laptop? Oh and it would only run for a split second and stall.

Yes, it's time to use the EFI (laptop) software. The EFI (laptop) software, ECU firmware & touchscreen unit must all be version compatible (LINK).

EFI software is for a computer, laptop or PC. Firmware is for a device such as a touchscreen unit or ECU.
