Thread: Questions on HP EFI tune.

Default Questions on HP EFI tune.

Hello all. I'm trying to get a startup tune written and I hope you can help me. Holley HP EFI Kit for a Ford 78mm turbo. In tune file, under Fuel System, what should I have for Fuel Pump Prime? I have an Aeromotive fuel pump running only off a switch and I have electrical tape covering the green wire from the loose leads. Should I change that Fuel Pump Prime from 5 sec to 0?

Idle Parameters: I removed my OEM Ford IAC motor and swapped to the Chrysler 4-pin. I changed the IAC type to Stepper on the tune for this. But what should I do with the Advanced Idle Control? It is on 5.0L Ford. What would be a safe timing to go for? Turbo 302 Ford running 10 psi hopefully on 93 octane. What else would I need to modify to get this safely started in the driveway? I read the manual and watched the Holley YouTube videos online. Thank you.

If you're not using the Holley EFI fuel pump control, then the Fuel Pump Prime time doesn't matter. You can leave it at 5 seconds.

Yes, that selection should work fine.
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.
