    Default Holley MPI Commander 950 Software

    I purchased this kit used out of a Mustang. I have all wiring and engine management ECU. I did not receive any software or the plug and cable for the computer. I need to know if the ECU needs a firmware update? I also need to know what software I need and where to purchase it and the computer cable? I'm running a 1989 Ford Mustang with a 306 supercharged. Thanks in advance for you assistance.

    Scroll down to "Commander 950" for the latest EFI software: https://www.holley.com/support/resou...Fuel_Injection (Holley EFI Tech Resource Library).
    A Commander 950 ECU must be sent into Holley to be updated.

    Check that your software version is compatible with your firmware version:
    1.xx = 1.xx
    2.xx = 2.xx
    3.xx = 3.xx
    The latest C950 EFI software version is 3.0.7, and the ECU firmware is 3.6.
    Click on the About & Version tab (with the key-on) to find your current software & firmware versions.

    I'll have to send it in to be updated. Am I able to buy software at that time to match the update? I also have to purchase the computer to ECU cable.

    Holley 534-191 Commander 950 Pro Software Upgrade is what you need.
    This includes a certificate for sending your C950 ECU to Holley for the firmware update.
    The firmware in your C950 ECU can only be updated by sending the ECU to Holley.
