Your Global File is in the "Documents", "Holley", "HEFI V4/V5", "Global Files" folder (.hefi file). You can save it to the computer's Desktop screen to ensure you don't lose it when updating the EFI software or ECU firmware. Anytime the ECU firmware is updated, ensure the current Global File is saved somewhere, since it will be erased from the ECU. The EFI (laptop) software, ECU firmware & touchscreen unit (if applicable) must all be V4/V5 compatible (LINK).
I always keep a recent copy of my Global File in an email. You can also keep a copy of it on your computer's Desktop screen. Others keep a copy of it on a USB flash drive or on the 3.5" touchscreen's SD card. The Digital Dash & 3.5" TSLCD can retrieve your Global File from the ECU.

Datalog & Global Files must be linked to a document hosting website. I use Dropbox.com.
Files can also be "zipped" (compressed zipped folder) & attached directly to a forum post ("Go Advanced" & "Attachments").
