Thread: Driveshaft RPM

    Default Driveshaft RPM

I just installed a Racepak Sportsman in my car and the driveshaft RPM and engine RPM are not the same in fourth gear (1:1). The driveshaft speed is roughly half of the engine RPM. I have the two magnet collar and that's what is set on the computer. Any ideas?

Have you checked to ensure that both magnets are present in the collar and attracting steel, like an Allen wrench or screwdriver? Whose collar are you using? Racepak driveshaft sensors are polarity sensitive, and some collars may have the magnets aligned with opposite polarity (one facing north, the other south). Thanks.
