Thread: Smartwire logic question

    Default Smartwire logic question

I have my shift light and oil warning light wired thru my smartwire. the shift lights uses a simple one line on condition (rpm greater than 7500), and the oil light uses 2 lines (rpm greater than 500 and oil pressure lower than 50 psi). This all works like it is suppose to.

But i would like to have my oil and shift light pulse on a few seconds when i power up the car, so i can see that they work.

How do i accomblish that while still retaining the normal on conditions ?

If you have a output channel that you are not using, you can program it as a secondary output for the light. You could name it "Light Test". Program the channel to single pulse for 3 seconds and trigger it off Smartwire #1(x1ee). This is when Smartwire is active. Then tie the second output channel to the first within a couple inches of the connector at the SmartWire.
