Renaming or moving a downloaded run
Hi , I downloaded a run the other night at Bakerfield with my Pro II. Problem is I did not pick Bakersfield when prompted but clicked on and it was downloaded in the Maple Grove file.
What steps do I need to take to get this file re named and under the Bakersfield runs ? Thanks
I have Windows 7 .

Re: Renaming or moving a downloaded run
Hi Mark,
You can fix this through either Windows Explorer or the Racepak DataLink II software by selecting File -> Open. Once you navigate to the directory where the file is, which in this case should be C:\RacePakData\ACar\2012\Maple Grove (I believe yours may read 'War Eagle' instead of 'ACar'). Once you've located the file, right-click on it and select 'Cut'. Then, navigate to back to the '2012' folder and then open the 'Bakersfield' folder. Once in there, right-click again, and this time, select 'Paste'.
The final step in this process will be to again right-click on the file to rename it to something matching the names of the existing files in that folder. In the case above where I used 'ACar', the file is likely named:
ACMap091512Q1, or something similar (WaMap091512Q1 if using 'War Eagle instead of 'ACar')
Change it to:
ACBak091512Q1, or something similar (WaBak091512Q1 if using 'War Eagle instead of 'ACar')
That should do it. Call or email me if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
-
