Default 83 fox body with 6al and pro billet misfiring and wont stay running

Ok,so I had this same exact problem before. The car sat for 6 months, I replaced the magnetic pickup in the distributor and the plugs and she fired right up. Ran fine for about a week. Now it's doing the same thing again. It's like it doesn't "want" to start. When you turn the key the needle on the tach [autometer] forces itself as low as it can go, and when you get it to start it is obviously firing way off and you can see the tach fighting to go backwards. It's weird. It's not the timing. It's not the carb. It's definitely electrical. Please help this is driving me nuts.

is the tach doing this with just key on and engine off? the MSD box just sends a signal to the tach and it wont make it run backwards. Try disconnecting the tach from the box and see how the car runs with it not connected.
