With the 43751 ignition tester for the MC-4 being obsolete, can someone tell me why the 8996 ,89981 and especially the 8994 multi-channel testers won't work? I noticed that the 8996 can be used for testing the DIS-2 with crank triggers and the 8994 is used with 4 cylinder midget ignition pn: 6214 with 2 pickups and 2 coils, just like a motorcycle. Wouldn't the crank triggers for the DIS-2, 6214 and the MC-4 be the same as each channel on both would receive one pulse per revolution 180 degrees apart? I'm just wanting something to test the RPM activated functions of the ignition. Thanks in advance.
