Proper voltage at coil
I have the mallory unilite distributor with the mallory 29219 internally resisted coil and am running a ballast resistor wire and am still getting 9.8v at the + side of the coil with the engine running. From what I have read in different forums, the coil voltage engine running should be around 7-9 volts. Is the 9.8 volts I am getting going to fry my ignition module or is this voltage fine?
Thanks
Doug
