10-12 business days to replace a MAP sensor!

Today I contacted MSD for a RMA. Based on troubleshooting last week with MSD tech support, it appears that my MAP sensor failed. Unfortunately, it is something that cannot be repaired out in the field, and the throttle body has to be sent in to MSD.

When I called for my RMA, I was also informed that it would take 10-12 business days to complete the repair. REALLY!?!?!!!! So....one week for UPS ground to get there unless I want pay $44.00 for 3 day, 10-12 business days for repair, another week in transit back to my home. Bottom line, I can't drive my car for at least 4 weeks due to a component failure. The car didn't make it out of the driveway for the forth test drive (for the system to learn) since the initial installation. The term "reliability" is the furthest thing from my mind right now.

So, for anyone reading these forums, trying to decide if they should go with MSD or another EFI competitor......just take into account that you may be without your ride for at least a month should something go wrong.

Right now....I'm regretting my decision after dropping off my box at UPS this afternoon.

Thank god I'm not using it on my daily driver!!

Hey mine had the mounting hole to close together. I had to drill them out to get the throttle body to sit on the manifold.
