Recently bought a car , Chevy sb, 6-71 blower.
It has a 8980 timing control, and also a 85551 distributor. Reading info it seems that I should have a locked out dist such as 85501. The car does not seem to have power at the top end of the one time I have run it up the strip. Should I remove the 8980, or is there a way to lock out the existing dist? The car also has a 7220 7AL2 fitted.
