Thread: 02 sensor location/atomic EFI

    Default 02 sensor location/atomic EFI

I have short tube headers. There is a small collection area before it bolts to the actual exhaust pipe.

Is it better to weld the 02 sensor into that collection area or go further down (towards the rear of the car) the exhaust pipe and weld the bung in there?

    Thanks

Ive ALWAYS read that it should be where all tubes meet, not farther down the pipe. This keeps the sensor in operating temperature for a more accurate reading.
