Default Digital 6A with 8920 tach adapter.

    Hi,
I have put the MSD 6A into my 68 Dodge charger. Works good but the original tick toch tach doesn't do anything when I hookup the grey wire that comes out if the 6A . So I purchased the tach adapter 8920. The instructions in the tach adapter are for the 6AL. In the Digital 6A instructions it says the grey wire coming out of the box is my tach wire. In the tach adapter instructions it says white wire. I don't want to cross any wires here. What is the correct installation for this tach adapter to a digital 6A on a 440 mopar? It looks like I have to splice back into the power from the ignition to use this adapter. Any help on this would be great.

    Chris
