    Default Datalogging

    I'm having an issue with the Dominator, getting it to datalog. Every time I click on the datalog button, it tells me that no file exists. I really need this feature cause I'm the only one driving, and I can't look at the laptop while I'm driving. I appreciate the help. And yes, I followed the instructions step-by-step.

    Are you referring to PC Data Logging or Internal Data Logging (ECU)?
    Also, are you having difficulty recording a datalog or retrieving a datalog?
    To download internal datalogs, you must have the key on, the EFI software in "USB Link" mode (not "Online") and select "Download ECU Datalogs" from the top Toolbar.

    I seriously doubt you're following the instructions correctly, since I own a Dominator ECU and I've performed countless datalogs.

    Which operating system does your laptop have?
    If you're running Windows 7, and you get an error when you are trying to save, view or delete a folder,
    your computer is not setup to give you “write” (save) privileges. To fix this, perform the following steps:

    · Select the “Start” button.
    · Select “Computer” and select drive “C”.
    · Select “Program Files” or “Program Files (x86)”.
    · Select “Holley”.
    · Right click your mouse on “EFI”.
    · Select “Properties”.
    · Select the “Security” tab.
    · Look at the “Group or user names”. You need to select the Group or user that is running the EFI software. This is likely the “Users” name.
    · Click on the proper “Group or user names” and look at the “Permissions for Users” at the bottom of the properties screen.
    If you are having a save problem the “Write” area is likely not checked in the “Allow” column.
    To correct this click the “Edit” button then click on the Allow “Full Control”. Hit “Apply” and “OK”.

    · You should then be able to save a file.

    Thank you for the input. And yes, I was following the instructions. I can read and I do have some common sense. But there was no troubleshooting area stating to check and see if my computer was set up properly for it. I feel like an idiot now for not checking it, so thanks for the help.
