    Default Blaster 2 ?

I've heard oil-filled canister coils will overheat and fail mounted horizontally. Will the blaster 2 coil work okay mounted in the stock bracket on my Mopars, which are horizontal? Thanks

It will heat up. the coil is filled with oil and if the coil in side is not kept submerged in the oil (vertical wise) it will heat up.

use the 8222 high vibration ( btw this is the powersports section )

The Blaster Coil is designed to mount in most factory canister coil mounts. MSD also offers a Chrome Coil Bracket, PN 8213. It is recommended to mount the PN 8202 and 8223 coils in an upright position. The High Vibration Coil, PN 8222, can be mounted in any position due to its epoxy potting compound.

think of a coke bottle ..then lay it on it's side........notice the air bubble .....mounting a oil filled coil on its side will expose the windings away from the oil, which keeps it cool.
