Will the 7730 work with a 7520 with all the retards and limiters and the burn out control?
Will the 7730 work with a 7520 with all the retards and limiters and the burn out control?
all the timing fuctions will work ,but not the rev limiters.
there is no external access on the rev limiter on the 7520
I know this is an old thread,,but question i have is ,,, will the rev limits still work with the blue wire from the 7520 when used for the transbrake???
And everything else work with the grid as far as retard???
Is there a wiring diagram to see as well.
Thanks
yes, the rev limiters on the 7520 will still work ..( launch and max)
just none from the grid itself ( 7520 does not have a plug in style rev chip)
as far as the drawing....
white from 7520 to white ( 4 pin connector) on grid.
blue on the 7520 to trans-brake ( tied into the dark blue on the grid)
KEEP IN MIND .......you can only change the rev limits on the 7520
and not in the grid ....
Thanks for the reply
I need some advice on a problem that's occurring with my current set up. I have called in several times about this issue and so far no results. I am using a 7520 box with my grid and wiring it was done according to your tech line instruction.
Problems occur when turning on ignition and orange light will turn green sometimes, but most of the time goes to red with error codes related to SD card. Seems it can't initialize the card. I have formatted, replaced SD cards, tried different versions of firmware, to no avail. I even changed the Grid with a known working one and still has the same issues.
It seems to me this could be happening from a voltage issue on initial power up. I have 2 red wires that are wired in, one to fire the 7520 and the other small one getting power from ignition switch. I checked voltage and its well over 12 volts.
what also appears in your alert box?power grid alerts 1.jpg
