Marine requirements are unique and diverse, so threads should not have to be scattered.

Further I believe boats also have the greatest ignition demands and therefore MSD offers the most critical gains in economy and reliability. Gas consumption per hour is much higher in a boat, plus if your car conks out on the highway, well you're on the highway. If your boat conks out, it's generally a much bigger and expensive inconvenience!
