    Default Another mc1 question

Im trying to wire a mc1 to a dyna S on a gs1100, according to the website i should have an yellow wire in the loom, but its not there. Ive 2 black 2 grey 1 white 1 purple 1 green 1 orange. The white and green are both live, all the rest have no output. Any help much appreciated, ive got the red connected to the battery side of the solonoid the black to the earth on the battery and the grey to the switched side of the ignition switch.

    Default mc-1

    Hello,
The yellow wire off the MC-1 is one of the two wires to the "B" coil on a two dual output coil application. The orange wire is the wire this is paired with. All other wires eem to be in order. Does your MC-1 ignition have an aluminum backing plate on it? If so we may be able to replace that yellow wire for you at a minimal charge if you would like to go this route. Please let me know. You can reach me at 888-258-3835 ext. 2808 if you would like an RMA (return material authorization number). Thanks, Bret- MSD Powersports tech

Yes it does have the alloy backing plate, could you give me a rough idea of costs as im in the uk. I dont understand why theres not a yellow wire there in the block conector or a space were it should have been. Also strange that none of the coil feed wires are live either.

Still wondering should the white and green wires be live that goes to the dyna S as these dont normally have a live feed on a normal system, its usually the red feed on the dyna thats live.

The only wires that will have 12 volts are the gray wires feeding power to the triggers. The Dyna triggers will be supplying a signal to the white and green wires to fire the ignition.

    Thank you
    Ray
