    Question C950 help!

Hey guys, this looks like the place to go for good tech advice. I need help
with my Commander 950 Pro. Everything seems to be installed correctly,
all powers up, fuel pump primes when key is on but when I open the fuel
map screen it goes haywire and pops up: Runtime Error '6' Overflow.
Also I noticed the software version is 3.0.7 & the firmware is 3.6.
Any help with this would be awesome.

This is a laptop issue or a corrupted software installation.
Which computer operating system is your laptop running?
Try completely uninstalling the program and reinstalling it.
Also, right click on the desktop icon and run the program as an administrator.

Download Commander 950 PRO software here: http://www.holley.com/TechService/Li...#FuelInjection
(The note states: Commander 950 software. Requires windows 98 or newer, not compatible with Windows Vista or Windows 7.)
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

It's running Vista, run as administrator. I'll reinstall and try that. Thanks.

Sorry for the delay, I reinstalled from your link, reinstalled from my disc, ran as administrator, ran in compatibility mode, all had no improvement.
A friend will bring over an XP laptop this week, I'll try that.

Finally got a laptop to communicate with the ecu. The fuel pump turns on but the injectors aren't firing.
From reading other posts here it looks like the firmware & software are not compatable. (3.xx vs 1.7)
Not sure if thats the problem but it can't hurt to send it to Holley for updates.

Yes, the C950 software version must be compatible with your C950 firmware version:
    1.xx software = 1.xx firmware
    2.xx software = 2.xx firmware
    3.xx software = 3.xx firmware

Not sure if thats the problem but it can't hurt to send it to Holley for updates.
Usually, this incompatibility just renders the software useless. This may not be your no-start problem.
Does the ECU prime the fuel pump for five seconds at key-on, during this no start condition?
Is the "Fuel Pump On" indicator highlighted red (look on Fuel Map), when cranking but no start?
Is the C950 ECU controlling timing? Which distributor? Is the engine getting spark (timing light)?
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

First time key is on: fuel pump on & red for 5 sec.
After that, will not show red until key has been off a while, then will come on for 5 sec.
No, ECU is not controlling timing. 68 Roadrunner 383 with Mopar Performance electronic dist. & MSD 6AL

Also, if I leave the key on & hold throttle to the floor, after a short time it will buzz and purge 1 injector.
After that engine will start and run for a few seconds. (fuel pump on, not red)

Then your C950 ECU isn't receiving an RPM signal, and that's why it won't start.
