    Default Bombardaier DS650x Shift light

    I have the 42052 MSD ingnition system installed and working on my 2006 DS650x baja. Everything seems fine untill I installed a 8952-1 shift light. This is the single cyl. one that has no loops to cut to set 2,4,8,cyl. My problem is isthat is comes on at 1/2 the rpm it should I have 7600 chip installed and it redlights at 3,xxx something . way too soon. what did I do wrong . I have tried both sides of the coil and the gray tach wire. all giving the same results.
    Any Help is appriciated. Did I wire the MSD wrong. The factory msd wireing harness was incorect for my baja. the DS plugs are different. The MSD apears to be working correctly. maybe it it fireing 2 stroke? double the pulses would turn on the light sooner.?? Help Help

    The DS650 fires a wasted spark set up you would need to have the light set for two cylinder application. Please let us know where you purchased the shift light from so we can help you with the return and replacement to a two cylinder shift light.
