Unhappy Other Companies using the NOS brand name as their own product?

I'm not gonna throw any names out there, or point any fingers, but I have noticed some new custom-engine-building companies that are claiming to have full engines designed and developed by them, and is selling them under the NOS brand name as their own design on their corporate website. I am curious, as I have never seen before an engine built entirely by NOS? Especially when the NOS brand is repeatedly mentioned, but no other info was given on where to go to buy the NOS branded parts/accessories, or of the actual level of development/engineering done by the NOS team. This worries me, as I have been a huge fan of NOS brand nitrous injection systems, and was very disturbed to see someone using the brand name as their own product.

    Help? I'm lost....

I'm lost too. What's wrong with a custom engine builder using NOS brand N2O parts and advertising it? Post a link to what you're referring to.

Example: Monte Smith (Monte Smith Performance) is employed as the NOS Technical Representative for Nitrous Oxide Systems.
He's also a machinist and engine builder at Huntsville Engine Performance Center: http://www.montesmithperformance.com...ontesmith.html
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I'm avoiding posting links to outside websites that are not in any way related to Holley products. it's a pretty high-end builder (smaller engines like motorcycles, 2-strokes, etc..), and have a good reputation. And I'm not trying to start a legal war, but am really confused. i have scanned all over the website I'm talking about, and as far as I can tell, there is nothing NOS about anything in their cars/bikes/engines. in fact, one posted picture shows the "NOS kit" installed, and if you look really close on the side of the bottle, it says "RB Innovations", but they selling it claiming it as a NOS brand part. Is RB Innovations a new part of the NOS branch that I don't know about? I just want to be clear on this, cant find anything on Holley.com about this company, and the said engine builder's company does not give ANY reference to anything, but the NOS name, and how much it costs for their "NOS engine"...

EDIT: I'm concerned because I'm looking to get a long block alky for my bike, and was thinking of adding a 'sneaky' nitrous system. It's being offered as an option for my motor, and I'm not sure of its quality, as I prefer Holley products.

Okay, issue cleared up. I got a hold of someone and talked to one of the builders/co-owners of the said company. He was unaware that N.O.S. was a brand name, and "thought it was just an abbreviation for nitrous" Now that I have heard that, I'm definitely going to go somewhere else for my long block. I looked back at the site a bit ago, and its been changed, and all NOS brand names/logos have been removed.

I think people need to start being VERY VERY careful of what terms are used in this field of business. Today's laws on copyrighted brands/logos are very strict. Which leads me to be sure to examine EVERY VENDOR VERY CAREFULLY before buying ANYTHING from ANYONE, regardless of their reputation for quality.
