    Default HydraMat for 1968 Chevelle

    I have a Tanks Inc fuel tank with a Walbro 400 in-tank pump and unless the tank is 100 % fuel, it loses fuel pressure on launch for a split second and falls on its face! Does anyone know what size HydraMat would solve my problem for a 1968 Chevelle?

    This one is plug & play with the W400 pump: My buddy just installed one in his stock '66 Fairlane tank, and it works great. Andrew

    FYI: To anyone looking to use the Holley HydraMat in a Tanks Inc Chevelle EFI tank, it will NOT work! There's a wall around the pump area inside the tank.

    Why do you need the HydraMat if you already have a baffled tank? My buddy put it into his stock Fairlane tank because it had no baffles. Andrew

    Correct. If you already have an in-tank sock filter & baffled fuel tank, then a HydraMat won't solve a "fuel pressure on launch" problem.

    If I had 1/2 tank or less, the fuel pressure would drop to zero at launch! If I filled the tank, it would work fine.
