Thread: Dakota Digital Oil Pressure

Use their sender and input the sender output data into the Dominator Sensors ICF, so it will read correctly. Andrew

I have two vehicles in the shop right now with the exact same issue. Both have the Holley BIM module. One has HDX gauges and the other has VHX gauges. On both everything works except the oil pressure.

Glad to know I'm not crazy, here! At least as far as this goes, anyway. :-) They've sent me an updated BIM that is supposed to provide some output regarding what the BIM is actually seeing. That is, the LCD is supposed to show a different code for the oil pressure that it's reading off the CAN Bus. I think the intent is to try to isolate whether it's a problem with the BIM or a problem with the gauges.

Unfortunately, my car has been down for a few weeks with me replacing my rear main, and now it won't start. So I haven't been able to follow up with DD, or test what the module is reading. Hopefully I can get my car running soon and DD can figure out what the problem is.

Quick update: Miraculously, the car is running today. I took a video of the output from the new BIM and sent it to DD. I'll keep you updated on what they say. Interestingly enough, it appeared to work correctly with one of the settings. Though it may have just been reading manifold pressure. I didn't double check the readings against the oil pressure shown in Holley software.

DD says they have a fix and have tested it with a couple different cars. Here's hoping it works this time!!!
