Thread: Super Stock hose & fittings questions.

    Default Super Stock hose & fittings questions.

    Is this suitable for EFI (60 PSI)? I would assume so with the 250 PSI rating, but just wanted to be sure.
    Since there doesn't seem to be a crimp tool for the sleeve (and it doesn't even come with the fitting), I assume it is purely cosmetic? Or did I just miss the crimp tool somewhere?
    One more thing, what is your feeling on heating the hose with a heat gun to install? I had a hard time getting over the last little step on the fitting to make the sleeve tight, unless I heated it a bit.

    Use lubricating oil.

    Thanks Dan. So the sleeve is purely cosmetic in this case? What about these: https://www.holley.com/products/plum...arts/818406ERL. At what pressure range would you need these? Power steering lines? Transmission cooler lines?

    Then there's also this tool that states it's for "Super Stock" hose ends too: https://www.jegs.com/i/Earl's/361/D0...SABEgLy4vD_BwE. I was just confused. Thanks again.

    The Super Stock hose isn't for power steering use.
    Notice the Holley EFI Super Stock Fuel System Kits (post #2) include hose clamps.

    The sleeve does not have to be crimped.
    If willing to pay $745 for that Earl's D031ERL Crimping Tool, I'd consider higher quality Earl's hose/ends that don't require a crimping tool.
