Thread: Secondary return spring on Terminator TB.

    Default Secondary return spring on Terminator TB.

    First off, this is in a jet boat. Having issues with the secondaries not fully closing when I let off the gas. They stay open just slightly and I have to manually push the linkage closed to bring the engine to idle. Is there a stronger spring option or am I missing something here?

    Most users have wound one extra turn (tighter) on the secondary coiled shaft spring.

    Thanks. In reading those threads, I might have just realized that I need to add an actual throttle return spring at the TB, but not sure. The foot pedal I have that the throttle cable connects to, has a stiff spring in it that pulls the cable back to zero. That closes the primaries no problem. It's just the secondaries that barely stay open. So I might try the winding the spring trick.
