Thread: Switching To Distributorless

    I will advance the crank trigger more degrees today and see what it improves.
    Question on the different ignition setups. It's currently running only using Waste-Fire. I'm assuming this is where the ECU fires all coils every time it see the four positions of the crank wheel magnets. What is it doing with the injectors?
    I also tried Bank-To-Bank and it will not run on that, but that must be because it cannot tell where #1 cylinder is or what bank it should be on, or does it even look for #1 cylinder with Bank-To-Bank?
    Since I'm using an Flying magnet crank trigger, there is no crank position it can read from only 4 magnets, so it would need a cam signal for anything other then firing all the coils each time, correct? Is there a better crank wheel to use that mounts like the MSD one, or even better just mounts in its place?

    For Waste-Spark DIS operation, read the 1st quote under the pictures in this thread: LINK. Waste-Spark DIS can inject the fuel sequentially, or not (LINK). Also, have you tried recording a System Log of the crank & cam signals? Record a System Log and check mark the "RPM", "Crank" & "Cam" channels. Is the crank or cam sensor signal ever indicate "Error" or flatlined (no square wave signal/trace)?

    This is run as Waste-Fire. I did not make changes to crank Ignition Reference Angle yet.

    The System Log indicates the crank & cam sensor signals are definitely transmitting. Now ensure they're signaling at the proper time:
