Default Running Sniper handheld & laptop at the same time.

Hey Sniper users, need info on using the Sniper handheld and a laptop at the same time. I have the Holley dongle, but want to run both the handheld and a laptop, just don't want to switch back & forth. Anybody doing this, if so what adapter can I buy? Thanks.

Just wondering what the perceived benefit would be?

Not having to switch cables back & forth. I'd like to be able to run both at the same time too.

"To get started you will need this adapter-harness convert the CAN Bus connector to a USB plug. Just plug the USB plug into your PC/Laptop and the CAN Bus connector goes where you have your handheld display connected. Unfortunately, there is no way to connect both the handheld display and the PC at the same time. But, if you'd like the convenience of connecting and disconnecting inside the vehicle (as opposed to reaching into the engine compartment and disconnecting/connecting at the end of the connector up on top of the intake manifold) then we also offer a 4-foot Sniper CAN Bus connection you should consider."

"Need to extend the CAN Bus harness on your Sniper or Terminator X EFI System? This harness will do that for you. Gender-opposite ends mate with the CAN Bus on the Sniper EFI systems. Note: Will not work on the Terminator, Avenger, HP, or Dominator EFI System CAN Bus. To extend your CAN Bus harness on one of these other Holley EFI systems, use one of the CAN Bus extensions on this page. Harness features automotive -grade insulation. Rated to 125°C (257°F). Finished with Molex® Mizu-P25™ Series 4-position connectors. Now available in 4-, 8- & 12-foot lengths!"

"Wouldn't it be nice to be able to leave the handheld controller connected on your Holley Sniper or Terminator X EFI System while you connect your Laptop via the CAN Bus to USB Adapter Cable? Well now you can! Plug this Y-Harness into the CAN Bus connector on your system and, like magic, you now have a connector for both devices. Connect, display, and interact with both devices simultaneously. This Y-Cable is 6-inches long. We also offer CAN Bus extension cables for the Holley Sniper and Terminator X EFI Systems. Available starting at 4 feet long. Harness features automotive-grade insulation. Rated to 125°C (257°F). Finished with Molex® Mizu-P25™ Series 4-position connectors."

Holley boys got back to me, and said no can do running both. The ECU is like a single output only. It can be done, but was told changes need to be done in the ECU? My plan was to do a single line out of the ECU and manifold the handheld and laptop into the manifold! I've seen videos with the user supporting both of them. Anybody have a clue how to do it? Thanks Sniper Family.

I run both a laptop and the handheld at the same time on a Sniper. Sometimes my PC will hang up and I have to resync with the ECU. Not sure if that is my PC, or if it is the ECU getting confused. Most of the time it works though.
