Thread: Incorrect IAC Wiring

    Default Incorrect IAC Wiring

Hey Guys! Was having a terrible time getting my idle sorted out, weird symptoms and kept wandering and then quitting suddenly, surging & wouldn't idle smoothly. I'm running an HP on a 231°/235° LS, 24x Harness. IAC counts would sit at 0%, and then next thing you'd know, it would surge up to 30%, then quit suddenly when it was idling perfectly. However, I switched to a 543-105 IAC motor, which I'm now finding out is possibly wired out differently than an LSx IAC motor. I changed the IAC selection in the drop down box under Idle Parameters to Holley 4 BBL. I'm wondering though if I still need to change the wiring schematic of this IAC motor, and if anyone thinks this could've explained my problems. My vehicle is in a car show all weekend, so I'll have to wait to try changing the wiring if I need to! Thanks!

Your LSx main harness is wired for a GM IAC motor.

Yes, it is. Just use a GM IAC motor.

Thanks Danny! I will update my pin-outs and hopefully finally have that idle sorted 100%!
