Thread: Freaking Out

    Default Freaking Out

Thing has been running great and out of the blue it's freaking out. Won't start unless you push the gas pedal. The TPS changes value even when you aren't moving the throttle at all. The IAC valve will randomly open even while your driving.
Is there a master reset? I've disconnected the battery. Gone back through the setup. Got it up to temp and got my TPS to 0 and the IAC to 6. Come back the next day and it's all out of wack again. Not sure how to proceed from here?

The TPS sensor is located at the end of the primary throttle shaft, opposite end of the throttle lever. It's slotted, so install it in the same position. Holley 543-111 TPS or Standard Motor Products TH191 TPS.

I don't know. If it's the problem, follow post #2.

I'm not one to throw parts at a vehicle until it works. There has got to be a testing process to verify what the problem is.

You could measure signal output on the TPS sensor to see if it has a clean sweep as the throttle opens.

Sent a datalog in and they're sending me a new TPS. Thanks for the input.
