    Default DUI GM comp controlled distributor to EFI?

    Hello y'all. I was looking at replacing my (very tired) HEI distributor for something computer controlled. I can't do the dual sync distributor at this time due to funds. But, I NEED to replace it this weekend. I found this while looking around and was wondering what all I would need to make this work. I assume it's similar if not identical to the Cardone units I see people using. A coil, and a connector are obvious, but what else?

    You do know that you can convert your HEI distributor for computer controlled timing right?

    I've seen that having a lot of issues on here, but yes, I've heard it's doable.

    Cool, that's exactly what I was wanting. So do you think I should go with MSD if I can't find genuine GM?

    In my opinion, if you're willing to purchase an MSD distributor, I'd purchase the Holley Dual Sync Distributor instead. It's designed for Holley EFI systems with trouble-free Hall-Effect sensors.
