Thread: Negative trigger wire for fan control?

Default Negative trigger wire for fan control?

Why did Holley use the negative wires from the Sniper EFI to run Fan #1 & #2? How can I wire a solenoid that normally uses a positive wire to work with the Sniper EFI? Thanks.

Because it's safer that way (LINK). Use a relay with keyed +12V power at terminal #86. (Sniper EFI triggers the relay coil ground at terminal #85.)

In that case, install a conventional relay as mentioned above, to feed +12V (relay terminals #30 & #87) to trigger the electric fan solenoid.
