Thread: Ballinger AFR into Holley 558-400.

    Default Ballinger AFR into Holley 558-400.

    I'm new to the Holley EFI world. I'm in the process of converting from a Ford EEC to Holley HP. I have a Ballenger AFR and would like to bring the output voltage 0-5 volts into the auxiliary harness 558-400. I understand reading the auxiliary harness info that I can bring in the voltage to white/blue, red, black, green wires, but would like to see AFR displayed as 11.0 12.5, etc.

    I'm coming from Ford EEC tuning world, where this voltage goes into a transfer table, which interpolates that voltage to a displayed AFR as described. I understand the HP system I purchased will bring in one oxygen sensor but would like to monitor the other bank. Can anyone detail the steps necessary to do this? I've left out much info of the environment, but will be glad to give any additional information needed.

    Default

    You can assign the 0-5V signal to a 5V input and then customize the scale, but the voltage you read will not be linear. They make wideband sets that include a module that outputs a linear 0-5V signal. That would eliminate a lot of guesswork.

    Yes, some HP users add a 2nd stand-alone WBO2 sensor, by wiring it into a 0-5V Input (created in the Inputs/Outputs ICF) for monitoring/datalogging purposes; you just can't run Closed Loop off of it.
