Thread: New flat tappet cam break-in question using Sniper EFI?

Default New flat tappet cam break-in question using Sniper EFI?

What I have is a new crate engine with a flat tappet camshaft and was wondering if I can break it in with the Sniper EFI, or if I should go back to a carb until cam is broken in, then install the Sniper? Had seen in a video that it's hard to go right unto the 2000 RPM required, to break-in a new flat tappet cam? What my question is, can I set the Target RPM to 2000 RPM, so it goes right up to speed, then run it for the required 1/2 hour at that RPM, then reset Target RPM to 750 after break-in? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
